The staff of the Copenhagen Girls' Choir
| The following singing teachers work with the Copenhagen Girls' Choir:
Karin Schiødt, Karna Skriver, Hans Henrik Balslev and Erling Pedersen.
Jonas Kornbeck plays the piano at rehersals and concerts. Chief
Conductor Claus Vestergaard Jensen is the leader of the choir.
Coordinator Wita Lindberg and producer Philip Schmidt-Madsen manage the
choir. Philip Schmidt-Madsen also plays organ and piano at concerts and
teaches and conducts the older girls. Gitte Broe is head accountant for
the choir. |

Chief Conductor Claus Vestergaard Jensen was educated at The
University of Copenhagen where he received his Masters of Musicology degree. He
has taught at The Sankt Annæ Gymnasium since 1978 in a broad range of musical
topics such as voice training and ear training. Claus Vestergaard Jensen has
composed much music for girls’ choir. He was co-founder of the choir "Cantus
Firmus" in 1980 and conductor of the choir of Frederiksborg Castle Choir for 15
years and the Frederiksborg Chamber Choir for 7 years. He has often been
requested as instructor at choir seminars and is often a judge at choral
competitions. |
